Saturday morning walk with Armand and Bernice

The Thieblots, co-owners of the Quarry Gardens, will lead this tour. In the Visitor Center, Armand will introduce the QGs project and the history of soapstone mining. Bernice will lead a walk along the main trail around the quarries. Among the plant communities, look for Pussytoes, Woodland stonecrop, Rattlesnake weed, Prickly pear cactus, Sundrops, Indian hemp, Wild basil, Silky dogwood and other spring bloomers.

Bring a lunch to enjoy in the picnic pavilion if you wish.

In view of Covid concerns, participants may opt out of the indoor portion. Mask-wearing will be optional.
