Flora of Virginia & Piedmont Explorer Workshop

On Friday, November 8th, we will be offering a joint workshop given by Flora of Virginia App ambassadors and Piedmont Discovery Center staff members. In this two hour workshop we will explore how to use the Flora of Virginia App to identify plants, and to study the native plant communities that you might find (or be aiming to restore) on your home landscape. Piedmont Discovery Center staff will guide you through using another tool, called the Piedmont Explorer, to look at your home landscape’s geology, elevation, and other site conditions that could further inform your native plant selection.
