Armand Thieblot, co-owner of the Quarry Gardens, will lead this tour. In the Visitor Center, he will introduce the QGs project and the history of soapstone mining. Then he will lead a walk along the main trail around the quarries where may found Virginia bluebells, Marsh marigolds, Dwarf larkspurs, Dwarf crested irises, Wild geraniums, and Moss phlox, among other spring bloomers.
The tour will take about two hours. You’re welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy it in our picnic pavilion.
