Armand Thieblot, co-owner of the Quarry Gardens, will lead this tour. In the Visitor Center, he will introduce the QGs project and the history of soapstone mining. Then he will lead a walk along the main trail around the quarries where may found Wild columbine, Marsh marigolds, Dwarf larkspurs, Fringe tree, Wild geranium, Alumroot, Solomon’s seal, Eastern shooting star, and Bellworts, among other spring bloomers.
The tour will take about two hours. You’re welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy it in our picnic pavilion.
