Friday Morning Trail Walk

A brief introduction to the history of quarrying in Schuyler and The Quarry Gardens project, followed by a guided tour of native plant communities and quarrying artifacts along the main trails around the quarries. Among the plant communities, look for Yarrow, Thimbleweed, Indian Hemp, Goatsbeard, Great blue lobelia, Butterflyweed, Yellow false indigo, Partridge pea, Turtlehead, Mistflower, Shrubby St. John’s wort, Dense blazing star, Wild bergamot, Spotted beebalm, Tick trefoils, White water lily, Thoroughwort, Quill fameflower, Pickerelweed, four species of Mountainmint, and many others
